Green and Climate-Active Roofs
The concept of green roofs in the minds of ordinary people is often associated with the image of a flat roof covered with soil, followed by the sowing of grass or plants, which ideally require no maintenance, and at worst, need re-seeding once a year or mowing annually. However, this concept of a green roof can also look different.
Through our green and climate-active roof program, we can provide solutions for our customers that open up new possibilities for their use, not only for family homes but also for industrial halls.
The green roof program provides the possibility of installing a green roof on buildings where the structure was previously unable to support it, as it does not require any substrate and plants root directly into the slab.
The climate and energy-efficient green roof program is implemented primarily on industrial buildings, where it reduces the need for heating in winter and cooling in summer. The technology used can store rainwater, which increases its insulation properties regardless of the season. The stored water evaporates gradually, reducing the demands on the industrial buildings’ rainwater drainage system.
Thanks to its properties, it meets acoustic insulation requirements, so it can also be used for soundproofing operations. Last but not least, it contributes to increasing the efficiency of electricity production from photovoltaic power plants on hot summer days.
